Manager In Training (Full Time)

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on action plans to achieve departmental and overall store goals, and serves as an ambassador promoting the brand and merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Affords knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Ensures inventory, sales statistics, and expenses are monitored for profitability.
• Assures quality customer service is maintained.
• Performs general administrative duties as needed.
• Produces and gives extraordinary customer service according to the customer service manual.
• Safeguards company assets and financial information through internal control procedures.
• Supervises employees in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and meet overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
