Manager, In Room Dining
Position Overview
The In Room Dining Manager is responsible for managing In Room Dining operations, ensuring superior guest experiences. The position works closely with the In Room Dining team to lead efficient, organized, and quality-oriented operations to maximize financial results and guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Implement and train Members on the menu concepts, ensuring guest satisfaction and alignment with brand standards
Partner with In Room Dining Leaders to monitor performance, implement processes to evaluate guest reviews to ensure meet guests satisfaction
Preserve In Room Dining department policies and procedures to control food and labor costs while maintaining quality product, presentation, and service
Provide guidance on food product, menu concepts, and guest service policies and procedures with Members
Maintain standards and training to drive Member productivity and performance, monitor cost controls and overall profitability
Oversee all in room amenities for VIP guest and guest recovery as well as online amenity programs
Successfully oversee Hospitality small in room events
Manage food inventory for the In Room Dining operations; manage monthly inventories, costing, purchasing, and budgeting
Maintain complete knowledge of In Room Dining concepts, particular characteristics, food concepts, preparation method/time, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation, and prices
Train and develop Members to be knowledgeable in promoting the In Room Dining offerings in becoming a recognized culinary destination by creating memorable guest experiences
Train the staff in menu offerings, general food concept knowledge, and service; mentor, coach, and inspire the staff
Qualification Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, culinary and/or relevant experience as in Food & Beverage operations
Three (3) or more years of prior relevant experience in management in Food and Beverage, at a luxury property preferred
Complete knowledge of health and safety regulations
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, statutory requirements regarding health and safety, sanitation, proper chemical usage, fire procedures, and HACCP
Ability to execute on guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs
Strong overall knowledge of menu preparation and presentation
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, Members, Leaders and other outside contacts
Able to lead and mentor a team
Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
Able to apply positive personalized service to every guest’s interaction
Passion for excellent guest service and the hospitality service industry
