About the role
The In Room Dining Manager supports the management team in overseeing aspects of the In Room Dining department and Speyside Cafe. The role ensures the consistency, quality, and efficiency of food and beverage service and amenities for the hotel’s guest rooms and suites, while assisting the Food & Beverage Director with hiring, training, and supervising staff.
Responsibilities
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel’s Room Service Department to ensure established cultural and core standards are met.
- Be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns, or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
- Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment for 24-hour in-room dining and in-room private bar services.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
- Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
- Monitor phones, orders, deliveries, and pickups to ensure guest satisfaction and employee support.
- Review and approve any comps or voids to ensure accuracy and ensure all glitches are posted accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of previous experience in a food and beverage environment, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and challenge a diverse team.
- Knowledge of food & beverage service and supervisory experience.
- Proficient in computer systems.
- Strong communication skills; fluency in English is required. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
- Current work authorization in the United States.
- Ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring availability for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
