Manager in Development Boulder
Big Red F Restaurant Group (West End Tavern, Centro, The Post, Jax Fish House) is looking for a passionate restaurant professional to join our leadership team as a Manager in Development. We are a growing group building a bench and seeking an Assistant GM or General Manager who is flexible across brands/locations and will grow with our group. This role offers the opportunity to lead in new developing locations or serve as AGM or GM (DOE) in a current Boulder location when a team member moves to a promoted role.

We are searching for an energetic, knowledgeable candidate with a natural passion for the guest experience. Ideal candidates are engaging, eager to learn, and thrive in hospitality—both in the dining room and our community. Experience with events, catering, and multi-faceted operations is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Challenge, develop, and lead a crew of restaurant managers who exhibit selfless hospitality, remain cool under pressure, and are eager to learn in a fun, fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all guests and staff feel welcomed, delivering extraordinary hospitality that is lively, warm, attentive, and conscientious.
- Share expertise in wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails, teaching and inspiring others (Cicerone, Sommelier Certification, or experience with agave or barley/rye-based spirits is a plus).
- Demonstrate extensive food knowledge, including service, preparation, ingredients, regional and international cuisines, and food-and-beverage pairing.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with exhaustive clarity.
- Develop financial skills, including understanding weekly budgets, P&Ls, costed menus, and schedules.
- Handle the physical demands of the role, including bending, reaching, standing for long periods, and carrying or lifting heavy and hot items.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in hospitality management or restaurant leadership.
- TIPS and ServSafe Manager certification (training provided).
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Integrity, intelligence, honesty, and a willingness to learn and contribute.
