Manager in Development

About the role

We are seeking motivated individuals with a passion for outdoor work and a drive to lead to join our Manager in Development program at Yellowstone Landscape. This program provides aspiring leaders with hands-on experience, comprehensive training, and mentorship from industry experts in maintenance, construction, design, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and plant identification. The role puts you on the path to a management position, offering opportunities to develop leadership skills, manage teams, oversee projects, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor to develop your own management style
• Excel beyond textbook learning through hands-on fieldwork with crews
• Participate in monthly Branch Management meetings and review company financials
• Engage in professional development opportunities to build skills and confidence
• Learn effective client interaction and communication
• Assist with job setup, client setup, and crew assignments
• Create proposals and assist with sales
• Operate safely and learn company software (Aspire and others)

Requirements

• Certificates, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s in Plant Science, Horticultural Sciences, Business, or related field preferred
• Interest in learning all aspects of the landscape management industry
• Can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• Clean driving record
• Strong communication skills
