General Summary
The role of the Manager-Imaging is to ensure service delivery, personnel management and resource allocation and control in order to support and enhance patient care within area of responsibility. To provide management in assigned area of the imaging department as needed to create optimal workflow and cost effective, quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains adequate staffing levels necessary to meet patient care volume.
- Participates in patient care as needed.
- Manages quality assurance initiatives for area of responsibility.
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable internal and external regulatory standards; ensures compliance with same regarding patient services, personnel management and environmental safety.
- Manages financial resources effectively. Develops annual budget and maintains expenditures; justifies any overages. Anticipates budgetary needs for assigned area based upon department goals and objectives.
- Focuses on improving quality of care and efficiency by analyzing business processes, developing and implementing improvements, monitoring outcomes, updating documentation, and reporting on progress and impact.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Allied Health, Business or Radiologic Sciences and five (5) years of supervisory experience required.
- (Note: Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.)
- Currently registered as a Registered Technologist (R.T.(ARRT)) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (R.T.(N)(ARRT)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or currently certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or currently credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
