Manager III, Software Development, Amazon Exports and Expansions

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and work with a talented team to innovate and deliver business and software solutions.
• Work closely with distributed organizations and lead complex engagements.
• Create and manage project plans and timelines, while proactively managing risks.
• Participate in Executive level communication, forge strong partnerships across the board, and effectively communicate with peers and teams.
• Work on both complex roadmaps and interact with business stakeholders directly.
• Have opportunities to gather requirements across various retail systems, create technical project plans, and dive into technical details to understand nuances and complexities.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective product software engineers
• Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting
• Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
