Job Summary

The Global Fraud Investigator & Case Manager provides strategic direction for fraud risk management, oversees the assessment and investigation of fraud allegations, ensures compliance with CRS Allegation Management Policy & Procedures, and strengthens internal controls.

Roles And Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for fraud risk management in alignment with global compliance systems and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Lead the continuous development and improvement of the global investigations framework and approach.
  • Oversee and/or execute the assessment and investigation of fraud allegations for assigned cases, ensuring all steps are completed in accordance with CRS policies and regulations.
  • Ensure case records are accurate and current in the CRS system, adhering to Allegation Management Policy & Procedures and meeting assigned timelines.
  • Formulate effective root cause analysis to ensure proposed remediation measures are effective and sustainable, and follow up implementation with assigned personnel.
  • Review processes of the organization and propose process innovations leveraging IT resources to improve process efficiency while maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Prepare periodic summary reports that drive action planning and decision making for the GRC Team.
  • Build capacity of country, regional, and departmental personnel, directly or through communities of practice, in fraud management and deterrence.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of field-based personnel with fraud investigation responsibilities.
  • Manage talent and supervise a team in the assigned area.

  • Knowledge of accounting, procurement, internal control frameworks, and/or internal/external audits.
  • Familiarity with the regulations of the US, the UK, and other major donor governments and organizations, such as the Global Fund, World Bank, etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, audit, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of five years related work experience, ideally with at least two years in an international or donor organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CIA, CFE, or CPA or similar qualifications.
