Manager - Hedge Fund Accounting

About the role
You’ll manage and train fund accountants, oversee daily and monthly activities, and independently handle client relationships to ensure service quality and satisfaction. You’ll also review—and occasionally prepare—complex monthly client reports, requiring strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships independently, ensuring service quality and satisfaction across all deliverables.
- Train and allocate tasks to fund accountants, overseeing daily, monthly, and annual responsibilities.
- Prepare financial statements and maintain books for clients with complex operations to ensure accurate reporting.
- Oversee valuations and reconciliations, analyzing investment activity to meet deadlines for investor and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with auditors and tax advisors, validating accounts and supporting year-end audits and tax returns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience with direct client-facing expertise.
- Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and research skills to identify issues and deliver effective solutions.
- Professional verbal and written communication, building positive client and team relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines under pressure, and take initiative as a proactive, goal-oriented team player.

Pay
$88,000–$110,000, dependent on experience and location.
