Position Summary
The expectation of this position is to lead and direct a GP PS Hatchery team to provide quality products by meeting customer expectations and achieving financial and business objectives.
Essential Functions
- Provide quality products to customers globally.
- Achieve production and financial objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with customers, shared services, and other hatcheries.
- Achieve HR and safety objectives that support hatchery facilities.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement new processes and technology.
- Maintain compliance with domestic and international entities regulating Cobb business activities.
- Serve as a liaison between the hatchery and Cobb's corporate office.
- Ensure the team is qualified, trained, and effectively managed.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (typically acquired through four (4) years of college-level education).
- Experience: Four (4) or more years of poultry management-related experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using standard computer applications.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct oversight of: Two (2) or more salaried team members, One (1) management support position, Approximately 20+ hourly team members.
Travel
Domestic travel approximately four (4) times per year.
Biosecurity Requirements
- Work is performed in a biosecure environment requiring showering prior to entering the facility and possibly multiple times throughout the workday.
- Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the company.
- Jewelry is not permitted on the job site, except for medical ID jewelry.
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with avian species (e.g., chickens, ducks, birds).
- Must follow all company Animal Welfare policies and Cobb Farms Hatcheries Biosecurity Standards at all times.
Physical Requirements
- Must follow safe lifting techniques.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when visiting facilities.
