About the role

We are seeking a Manager Global Strategic Resource for our Global Operations department. This is a fully remote position responsible for managing all NHP (Non-Human Primate) procurement, logistics, inventory coordination, and client colony management activities.

Responsibilities

• Client Colony Management:
  • Manage client-specific colonies from contract execution through completion of invoicing and study fulfillment.
  • Maintain client colony records, including animal health records, census data, testing history, contractual requirements, and inventory status.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client colony communications, providing routine updates regarding colony health, census changes, inventory availability, study readiness, and program milestones.
  • Generate and distribute monthly inventory, census, and colony status reports to clients.
  • Ensure client-specific requirements are accurately documented and fulfilled throughout the lifecycle of each colony program.
• Global Demand and Supply Management:
  • Track and maintain global forecasts for sexually mature NHP demand and supply.
  • Identify current and projected gaps between available inventory and customer demand; communicate risks and mitigation strategies to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Inventory Management, Sales, Veterinary Services, and Logistics teams to optimize inventory utilization and allocation.
  • Monitor colony inventory maturation and availability to support strategic planning and revenue objectives.
  • Contribute to forecasting and establishment of animal availability timelines and lead times for internal and external customers.
• AAV Demand Management:
  • Track client-specific AAV (Adeno-Associated Virus) demand forecasts, requirements, and program needs.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to monitor forecasted and confirmed AAV demand globally.
  • Maintain visibility of client-specific specifications and ensure requirements are communicated to operational teams.
• Order Fulfillment and Customer Management:
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to negotiate and facilitate fulfillment of NHP orders.
  • Prepare quotes, assist with purchase order management, and coordinate customer documentation requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate pre-shipment testing in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Assign animals to customer purchase orders and study numbers to ensure accurate inventory management and traceability.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, external clients, logistics partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful fulfillment of NHP and related product demand.
• Oversee client-specific colony management, global sexually mature animal supply and demand tracking, AAV demand forecasting, logistics operations, and direct management of the NHP Logistics team.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, inventory alignment, customer satisfaction, and timely delivery of animals and related services.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent degree in a related discipline.
• Experience: 10 years of experience in the NHP industry. Previous direct management/supervisory experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute.
• Skills and Knowledge:
  • Experience in procurement, inventory management, import/export processes, and client colony management.
  • Demonstrated customer-facing experience with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with animal database systems and inventory tracking platforms.
  • Experience supporting global demand planning, forecasting, and supply management initiatives preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NHP operations, logistics, inventory management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of CDC, USDA, FDA, EPA, USFWS, and CITES regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, database systems, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders in a global environment.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $96,000 - $113,000 annually. Salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
