Manager, Global Portfolio Management - Clinical Sciences

About the role

The Manager, Global Portfolio Management is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects within the Clinical Sciences department, utilizing standardized project management tools and processes to achieve successful outcomes. This role requires strong project management skills, effective stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Partners with business stakeholders to design and implement strategic, cross-functional projects for Clinical Sciences.
• Supports project teams by developing project planning scenarios, identifying and monitoring project risks, and tracking action items.
• Led project team meetings to facilitate decision-making and resolve issues using project governance processes.
• Collaborates with management, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and team members to implement cross-functional solutions.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with project team members and stakeholders.
• Communicates project status and deliverables to project sponsors and stakeholders, preparing status reports and dashboards.
• Supports the preparation of deliverables, potentially owning select individual deliverables based on project needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience, with 3+ years of supporting projects and programs from strategy through implementation.
• Basic project management capabilities, including knowledge of project management best practices, risk analysis and mitigation planning, change management support, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience with global and regional teams in the pharmaceutical industry.
