About the role

Omnicom Media (OM) serves as the global headquarters for Omnicom's media business and operates as a division within Omnicom Inc., a leading global marketing communications organization. OM is the parent company of OMD, PHD, UM, Initiative, Mediahub, and Hearts & Science brands, as well as data capabilities, operating in 50+ markets.

The Global Commercial Finance (GCF) department manages the financial and commercial aspects of our biggest global clients. GCF partners with agency leadership on client negotiations, introduces innovative compensation models, provides global financial leadership and best practices, and plays a critical role in new business pitches. The role is highly commercial and client-focused, involving consolidation and review of large data sets, as well as interface with regional and local market finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • New Business Pitches:
    • Analyze regional/local market data with other key members to prepare the final pitch submission.
    • Consolidate and summarize large amounts of data into Excel for VP/SVP review.
    • Ensure completeness of client deliverable templates by liaising with regional/local markets.
    • Once the client is won, communicate key terms to markets and work with local agencies to ensure all financial issues/queries and procedures are working smoothly in the first few months.
  • Client Financial/Commercial Servicing & Internal Client Profitability:
    • Lead annual fee negotiations for global clients by creating data collection templates, consolidating local market proposals into Excel (with Analyst support), and performing analytical reviews prior to VP/SVP review.
    • Work with contracts to fulfill reporting requirements (e.g., rebate forecasts, unbilled media, staff tracking reporting) by collecting and reviewing relevant data with the Analyst and regional/local markets.
    • Support Global Account Leads in ad-hoc finance needs while servicing the account.
    • Manage preparation of client Scope of Work (SOW), contract development/reporting (with legal).
    • Perform client profitability analysis to identify financial issues and inform client remuneration renegotiations.
    • Serve as a point of contact for markets regarding reporting requirements.
    • Assist in data collection and reporting for global client audits and consulting engagements; proactively ensure compliance across international markets prior to audits.
    • Act as the main point of contact with regional finance teams to ensure all deliverables meet required client deadlines.
    • Support OM leadership and Global Client Leads (GCL) with ad-hoc financial information and reports, sourcing data from various financial systems and files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics.
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver results, whether by taking initiative, managing through influence, or motivating teams through obstacles.

Pay

$100,000–$120,000

Schedule

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
