About the role

Reporting directly to the Director, General Accounting, the Manager, General Accounting will lead a team of accounting professionals. The manager will support the Director and will be responsible for collaborating with Baptist’s system-wide entities, guaranteeing suitable application and execution of procedures and processes required to comply with current accounting regulations. Additionally, the manager will support the Director by managing the requirements of the external auditors and encouraging prompt resolution of audit problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of accounting professionals in day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Collaborate with system-wide entities to ensure proper application and execution of accounting procedures and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with current accounting regulations.
  • Manage requirements of external auditors and facilitate prompt resolution of audit issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA or Master of Accounting degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Expertise in technical accounting and evaluations skills.
  • Experience working with technical accounting matters and providing analytical solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA preferred (not required).

Pay

Estimated salary range for this position is $108,816.92 - $141,462.00 per year, depending on experience.
