Overview

The role of Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis at Capital One is designed for individuals who can navigate complex data, tell compelling stories with financial models, and partner effectively with business leaders. Responsibilities

• Drive CCAR Analytical Support: Lead comprehensive modeling and analysis for regulatory stress testing and capital planning.
• Model Strategic Sensitivities: Act as the analytical engine for business partners, leveraging modeling infrastructure to run complex P&L sensitivities.
• Illuminate Portfolio Risks & Opportunities: Provide detailed insights into portfolio health through comparisons of Frontbook and Backbook performance, origination volumes, and outstanding balances.
• Manage Complex Deliverables: Independently prioritize and complete large bodies of analytical work, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and regulatory timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience:
• At least 5 years’ experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination.
• At least 1 year of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance:
• At least 6 years experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination.
• At least 3 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function.
• At least 1 year of direct or indirect people management experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, alongside experience with modern data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight) and familiarity with emerging AI tooling to drive analytical rigor and clear business insights.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

Pay

• Plano, TX: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Financial Analysis
