AAA Club Alliance is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to provide financial planning and analysis support for assigned Automotive & Membership lines of business (LOB) and finance transformation efforts.
About the role
This position will assist the Financial Leadership Team in developing reporting, business models, and analysis to support the business with the broader organization in mind. The role serves as the conduit between the Accounting & Finance teams and the LOB to ensure consistent messaging on business results, open communication, and adequate support for business partners. Additionally, this position will oversee, guide, and mentor team members.
Responsibilities
- Support the Managing Director in developing LOB customer sales and business forecasts, and annual operating plans.
- Analyze fluctuations between plan/forecast and actual trends, identifying risks/opportunities and recommending solutions to drive sales and profit.
- Provide insight and analysis into drivers of change for key metrics (e.g., net revenue, gross margin, net income) versus prior year and plan/projection.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statements, forecasts).
- Conduct historical and predictive analysis.
- Assist in the budget process.
- Support the Project Management Office (PMO) by ensuring financial accuracy, tracking actual spend, and evaluating accounting decisions for capital vs. operating expenditures.
- Support innovation projects for various LOBs.
- Develop reporting and financial models to support assigned LOBs while considering the broader organization.
- Provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to team members, including creating development plans, setting objectives, and recruiting for future openings.
- Maintain and improve strong internal controls to safeguard company assets, including month-end reporting and analysis of results.
- Support the administration of the Accounting Advocate Program.
- Identify and recommend process improvements.
- Work with LOB and finance leaders on ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to Senior Leadership (CFO, CAO, VPs, etc.).
- Support Finance Transformation efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
- 6-8+ years of proven working experience as a senior financial analyst or higher.
Skills
- Proven success in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to identify key variances and highlight issues to business leaders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency; RPA certification a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
