Manager, Financial Operations (Surgery)

About the Role

Responsible for managing financial analysis and the accounting/budget functions, including developing internal billing rate schedules, departmental budgets, and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors the consolidated annual budget plan and budget process for the division, including monthly fund and unallocated activities, accounts receivable, monthly reconciliations, and variance reporting.
• Prepares and/or directs preparation of financial statements, activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and reports requested by management or regulatory agencies.
• Coordinates, negotiates, and resolves financial compliance issues with governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation.
• Conducts and/or leads audits.
• Supervises employees performing financial and/or accounting duties and may supervise employees in other functional areas.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Hyperion, Smart View, Essbase, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management.
• Ability to collaborate across and within different levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to coordinate diverse components to achieve balance in time, cost, and quality.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Required Skills

• Five (5) years of financial analysis experience, including thorough knowledge of applicable government regulations.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
