Manager (Financial Admin Leader), Supplier Data Management
About the role
The Purchasing position oversees the process of managing supplier data, ensuring its accuracy and timeliness for successful purchasing activities and payments, as well as accurate tax reporting. This role supervises the Supplier Data Management (SDM) team and manages their workload, documentation, and audits.
Responsibilities
- Manages the SDM team, providing training, supervision, and feedback.
- Audits supplier request forms, registrations, edit request forms, and incoming CRM requests.
- Audits existing records for compliance with department processes, university policies, and state and federal regulations.
- Develops and implements solutions to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Participates in testing, quality assurance, and quality control efforts.
- Supervises the day-to-day work activities of Financial Administration Specialists.
- Provides training and development for newly assigned or less experienced personnel.
- Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing financial processes and develops sustainable improvements.
- Develops and prepares budgets and financial reports for grants, general appropriations, endowments, and other funds.
- Creates annual revenue and expenditure budget for school or support units.
- Develops budgetary policies and procedures.
- Provides input into non-technical portions of grant and contract proposals.
Requirements
- Required Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
- Preferred Master's degree.
- 2 years of related functional experience.

- Advanced knowledge of financial statements and different budgetary models; ability to apply in different situations.
- Knowledge of human resources laws and procedures as related to managing staff.
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of mentors and mentorships.
- Demonstrates ability to create workable solutions from broad concepts and ideas, projections, forecasting, and long term planning.
- The ability to effectively communicate and operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.

Pay
$70,000 - $73,000 annually, depending on qualifications.
Schedule
This role is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
