Manager - Financial Accounting

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Director, this position manages MaineHealth Corp.’s accounting staff and is responsible for the recording, reporting, and interpretation of financial data and information. Serves as the department administrator in the absence of the Director.

Responsibilities

• Collect pertinent information necessary to prepare, reconcile, and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Maintain general ledgers and journals in accordance with accounting principles and accounting systems.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Establish and maintain effective on-going relationships and communications with various constituencies within and external to the organizations.
• Communicate clearly through work paper schedules, memoranda, financial reports, and discussions with Medical Center personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• CPA certificate preferred.
• Computer literacy; extensive knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $97,177.60 to $131,497.60 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
