About the role
The Schwab Investment Platforms, Solutions, and Strategy Finance team partners across the organization to support thoughtful decision-making for a business that manages and supports more than $6 trillion in client assets, approximately $3 billion in revenue, 600 staff, and roughly $300 million in operating expenses. As a Manager, Finance, you will help shape the financial insights that guide strategy for Schwab’s investment products, platforms, and services by supporting consolidation, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for the overall organization.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights for Finance partners and senior leaders.
- Support revenue and expense forecasting, multi-year planning, product performance analysis, P&L insights, and business case development tied to growth and investment opportunities.
- Help improve reporting and forecasting processes, strengthen visibility into business drivers, and contribute to decisions that support Schwab’s long-term growth and client outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, business analysis, or closely related finance work.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions through analysis, insights, and clear recommendations.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex questions and translate data into actionable business insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills to support financial analysis, reporting, modeling, and executive-level communication.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across a wide variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to identify data anomalies, resolve issues, and improve reporting or analysis processes.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree (Preferred).
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or investment products (Preferred).
- Experience in FP&A, embedded finance, or business-unit finance support (Preferred).
- Experience developing financial models, business cases, or multi-year forecasts (Preferred).
- Ability to present complex financial information to senior audiences in a clear, concise, and compelling way (Preferred).
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships across Finance, business leadership, and cross-functional teams (Preferred).
