PURPOSE
The Manager, Facilities Maintenance (MFM) establishes and executes maintenance programs and Repairs that control and maintain the facility posture for the business. The MFM reports to the Director of Facilities and together they implement the necessary infrastructure maintenance to ensure a safe and productive environment. The MFM will interface professionally with various internal groups, customers, and other external personnel to effectively perform their duties.
JOB DUTIES
- Design, develop, and execute the management or implementation of various preventative or predictive maintenance plans
- Drive maintenance team to beat world class Uptime and Utilization rates of all production equipment
- Administer and execute a comprehensive maintenance planning program in compliance with associated corporate policies and directives
- Aid in planning and executing strategic development plans for the facility
- Interface with and provide strong customer service to various departments within the company as a facilities leader
- Perform or manage required self-inspections of facility systems and programs
- Prepare and maintain budgets, RFQ’s, policy, and procedures for Maintenance
- Is responsible for handling, storing, and keeping maintenance records for entire company using the WO system
- Prepare assessments involving possible facility issues to inform executive management and correct deficiencies
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field is required
- Minimum 5-years of experience in a maintenance management role with a manufacturing company, contractor, Engineering/Architecture Firm, or similar is required
- Strong knowledge of equipment service and repair practices for CNC machining centers, Robots and drives, PLCs and control systems, compressed air systems, and other plant equipment (e.g., Mazak, HAAS, and Okuma CNC machining centers; Fanuc Robots and drives; Allen Bradley PLCs and control systems; Ingersoll Rand air systems, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of building equipment service and repair practices for HVAC, Fire, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Understanding of Lean principles, methods, and tools (e.g., 6S and TPM). Lean certification preferred
- Knowledge of supporting manufacturing disciplines, including safety processes and procedures, Machining, welding, assembly, document control, and quality inspections are required
- Knowledgeable of Engineering, construction, Project Management, and business systems, including ACAD, MS Project, SAP, or equivalent is preferred
- Professional written/verbal communication skills
- Must possess excellent Leadership skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, bend, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and walk for more than 50% of the work day
