Who are we hiring?
The Manager, Events will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events within the Current Landing district. This role will work closely with the Director of Event Management, VP of Venue Programming, and venue sales staff to execute events booked in the district.
What will you do?
- Manage planning and execution for all events hosted within Current Landing, including private events, public activations, fan experiences, and community programming.
- Serve as a primary operational contact for events booked by the VP of Venue Programming and venue sales teams.
- Work directly with clients to determine event logistics, operational needs, timelines, and execution plans.
- Develop event outlines, run-of-show timelines, and operational plans for assigned events.
- Cook up staffing assignments and operational needs for event day execution with internal departments including Security, Guest Services, Parking, Ticketing, Marketing, and Food & Beverage to ensure event readiness.
- Collaborate with Current Landing restaurants and district partners to align operational plans, guest flow, and event activations.
- Cook up security screening locations, access control, and pedestrian flow throughout the district during events.
- Act as the on-site event lead for Current Landing events, ensuring successful execution and real-time problem solving.
- Maintain detailed event files and documentation for assigned events.
- Communicate event details and operational plans to relevant departments and partners.
- Aid in preparing event estimates and tracking event-related expenses.
- Prepare post-event summaries and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
What do you need to succeed?
- Required:
- - 2–4 years of experience in event operations, venue operations, hospitality, or event management.
- - Experience supporting or executing live entertainment and large-scale events, including concerts, festivals, conferences, or other public-facing events.
- - Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing event needs.
- Preferred:
- - Experience working in concert venues, stadiums, entertainment districts, or multi-use event spaces.
- - Experience coordinating with vendors, restaurants, tenant partners, or third-party promoters.
- - Familiarity with event logistics including crowd management, security coordination, and event production elements.
- - Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
Special requirements of the Job:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days.
- Ability to work outdoors and across multiple locations within the district.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking long distances.
- Must be able to lift to 25–30 pounds at a time.
