Manager, Event Marketing and Experience
About the role
We are seeking a top-notch experienced professional to join our awesome and nimble marketing team. We are looking for someone who loves envisioning and executing amazing experiences for our clients, with a primary focus on leading the strategy and execution for 3rd party partner and industry conferences.
Responsibilities
- Understand our clients and what works to engage them effectively
- Strategize with our sales and marketing teams to lead the strategy and execution for 3rd party partner and industry conferences, developing engagement ideas that support our business goals
- Execute on the calendar of events, including managing tradeshow logistics, exhibitor resource centers, and 3rd party vendors - bringing creativity and polish to create memorable experiences that bring Slalom to life for our clients
- Think through and execute event follow-on activities
- Work with sales to ensure relevant engagement throughout the process – from attendee identification, to invitations, to follow up
- Determine and manage our quarterly and annual event and experience calendar
- Work in tools such as Pardot, Salesforce, Teams, SharePoint
- Manage event budget – per event and overall
- Track impact and results
Requirements
- 5+ years of event experience in a fast-paced marketing environment, with a proven track record of managing large-scale tradeshows and industry conferences, while working closely with sales teams and clients
- Advanced skills and experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are required. Pardot a plus
- Proficiency in navigating Exhibitor Manuals/Resources Centers and managing complex vendor contracts (A/V, drayage, booth fabrication, etc.)
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills – including excellent grammatical, editing, and proofreading skills
- Scrupulous attention to detail, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment
- Proven ability to set priorities and work independently with little supervision – you are a driver
- Demonstrated capabilities in making solid business decisions, problem-solving, and multi-tasking
- Must be resourceful and able to deal with ambiguity
- Must be available to work some nights and, very rarely, time on the weekend

Pay
Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, etc.: $97,000-$110,000, Seattle, Washington D.C., Boston: $106,000-$120,000, San Francisco: $115,000-$130,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
