About the role

Axon is seeking a Manager of Equity Compensation to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Director – Head of Financial Reporting & Equity, this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule with in-office Tuesdays through Fridays and remote flexibility on Mondays.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end administration of equity plans, including reviewing grants, exercises, releases, and cancellations, and monitoring share utilization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to evolve the eXponential Stock Plan, a high-risk, high-reward plan designed to incentivize performance.
  • Implement best practices with automated controls to streamline equity data processing.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Accounting, and People Operations on stock compensation reporting for employee income purposes, both domestically and internationally.
  • Coordinate with officers and employees to set up and maintain 10b5-1 trading plans and transactions as needed.
  • Prepare Forms 3 and 4 to report Section 16 officer and director transactions in SEC filings.
  • Provide information for financial statement footnote disclosures and reconcile equity-related balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in equity administration, preferably in a public company setting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and interest in automation and AI initiatives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various types of equity awards and programs.
  • Understanding of accounting standards related to equity compensation.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high initiative, flexibility, and team-oriented approach to work.
  • Acute attention to detail and well-developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to high ethical and integrity standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of equity incentive plans (stock options, RSUs, and PSUs).
  • Experience with international considerations and tax implications.
  • Strong collaboration skills with Accounting, Finance, Payroll, People Operations, Tax, and Legal teams.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards related to equity compensation.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high initiative, flexibility, and team-oriented approach to work.

Pay

$121,320 USD - $194,112 USD

Schedule

This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule with in-office Tuesdays through Fridays and remote flexibility on Mondays.
