About the role

Axon is seeking a Manager of Equity Compensation to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Director – Head of Financial Reporting & Equity, this role is eligible to be based in one of Axon's US hubs and follows a hybrid schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, along with 7+ years of experience in stock administration, particularly within a public company. They should possess excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, and a keen understanding of various types of equity awards and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end administration of equity plans, including reviewing grants, exercises, releases, and cancellations, and monitoring share utilization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to evolve the eXponential Stock Plan, an optional high-risk, high-reward plan designed to reward employees if the company excels.
  • Implement best practices with effective controls and automate workstreams to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely processing of equity data.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Accounting, and People Ops on the reporting of stock compensation for employee income purposes, both domestically and internationally.
  • Coordinate with officers and employees to set up and maintain 10b5-1 trading plans and transactions as needed.
  • Prepare Forms 3 and 4 to report Section 16 officer and director transactions in SEC filings.
  • Provide information for financial statement footnote disclosures, reconcile balance sheet accounts related to common stock, additional paid-in capital, and related employee taxes; and prepare quarterly equity rollforward.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects and reporting as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Stock Administration, preferably in a public company.
  • Proficiency in Excel and interest in automation and AI initiatives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various types of equity awards and programs.
  • Understanding of accounting standards related to equity compensation.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and internal/external partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and a team approach to work.
  • Acute attention to detail and well-developed organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to high standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment.
  • Experience with international considerations and tax implications.
  • Knowledge of equity incentive plans (stock options, RSUs, and PSUs).

Pay

$101,100 USD - $161,760 USD

Schedule

This role is eligible to be based out of Axon's US hubs located in Atlanta, Boston, New York, Virginia, Phoenix, San Francisco or Seattle and follows a hybrid schedule. Employees work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
