Job Summary The Environmental Services Manager is to be responsible for the care, upkeep, and cleaning of assigned buildings and related facilities and supervision of the janitorial department. Key Responsibilities Calculates material needed and develops material lists. Supervise janitorial staff including disciplinary, timekeeping, recruitment, and employee relations issues. Responsible for overall performance of janitorial department. Assess best practices for keeping facilities and grounds clean and safe. Work with supply and equipment vendors to determine needs of department. Assist janitorial staff in cleaning of facilities and grounds. Communicate with Facilities Director regarding departmental needs and concerns. Operate light duty equipment and machinery, and clean and care for it. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Work independently in the absence of supervision. Will work outside as needed to clear sidewalks and parking lots during inclement weather days. This includes snow, ice, mud, etc. Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards. Promotes effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic’s ability to meet its goals and objectives. Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic’s overall mission. Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment. Requirements: 2-3 years’ maintenance/janitorial experience in a building trade setting, military, or other related experience. Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications High School or GED preferredOne year management experience preferred.
