About the role
Connects individual departmental updates to the broader direction of the company, translating complex business information into clear, actionable communications.
Responsibilities
- Communicates Denny’s business strategy, priorities, decisions and performance across the enterprise.
- Tailors communications for various audiences including Team Members, restaurant managers, above-restaurant leaders, multi-unit managers, franchisees and executive leadership.
- Develops communication briefs and drafts or refines leadership messages, scripts, presentations, memos, talking points and enterprise updates.
- Maintains a consistent enterprise narrative and ensures internal and external communications are factually consistent and strategically aligned.
- Supports the development of press releases, media pitches, statements and other external content.
- Works with cross-functional teams to develop and refine social and editorial content for Denny’s Made.
- Manages competing priorities and delivers high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Five or more years of experience in corporate communications, business communications, editorial strategy, executive communications or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing and message-development skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business strategy into clear, actionable communication.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to understand operational, financial and organizational priorities.
- Experience supporting senior executives and working across multiple functions.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in a franchise, restaurant, retail or multi-unit operating environment is preferred.
- Public relations, media writing or external storytelling experience is preferred.

Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $95,000.00 - $130,900.00.
