Manager, Engineering

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a consumer-facing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead sprint planning and ensure delivery for the Catalog engineering team
• Ship full-stack production code weekly, leveraging AI-assisted development tools
• Collaborate with the Principal Engineer on architectural decisions and roadmap planning
• Recruit and onboard engineers, raising the bar for AI-native skills
• Foster collaboration with product managers and design teams without waiting for top-down direction
• Contribute to the development of AI-driven SDLC practices and shared tooling
• Champion code quality, testing strategy, and CI/CD best practices throughout the team

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
• Full-stack development proficiency across backend and frontend technologies
• Proven track record of owning and delivering commitments in software projects
• Experience with team building and mentoring engineers, with a focus on AI-native practices
• Strong communication skills, facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with backend languages, especially .NET/C#, and relational databases

Pay

$187,000 – $235,000 annually
