Our Acupac site has an immediate opening for a dynamic Engineering Manager who will organize, deploy, and measure all activities within the Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities departments to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, service, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects related to reliability, continuous improvement, equipment installation, validations, and new product development; actively participates in engineering work, and provides technical support, knowledge, mentorship, and guidance at the floor level.
  • Manages the delivery of projects through the complete lifecycle from initiation through to operation (e.g., ensuring project is delivered on time, meets business and technical requirements, within the agreed budget).
  • Adopts and drives Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methods that improve safety, quality, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) & cost targets; deploys reliability maintenance methods/strategies that optimize the performance of equipment, maximize uptime, and ensure integration with Operations.
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships/expectations through communication of site equipment capabilities/performance as well as execution of the new product introductions (NPI) process.
  • Maintains ownership of the site-specific CapEx strategy in view of budgeting and departmental execution.
  • Leads, assigns, and manages the activities of the Maintenance and Facilities teams to ensure optimal results in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Oversees the spare parts room, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely replenishment, and accurate record-keeping to support maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Develops, leads, and coaches teams responsible for the preventative maintenance program to ensure consistent, proactive maintenance activities that prevent equipment failures and extend machinery life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance and a minimum of five (5) years in a management / leadership position.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cosmetics or pharmaceutical, with high speed and agile filing and packaging systems.
  • Project Management (PMP or CPM) preferred.
