Manager Divisional Sales
About the role
The Sales Manager is a hands-on leader who inspires a team, closes deals, and drives revenue growth. This role focuses on team development, turning bold ideas into profitable outcomes, and building strong sales performance. The Sales Manager will handle strategic accounts, lead external sales and internal design teams, and collaborate across departments to enhance customer satisfaction and production efficiency. This is a non-commission, flat-salary position.
Responsibilities
- Grow sales and profit margins on current and new business by managing strategic accounts and leading external sales and internal design teams.
- Collaborate with production, customer service, estimating, purchasing, and design teams to drive customer satisfaction and production efficiency.
- Work closely with the General Manager to develop strategic plans for business growth.
- Split time between the office, field supervision, and sales calls (5-day workweek).
- Manage sales volume with existing customers while emphasizing growth and profitability through new customers.
- Travel with territory managers to cultivate, create, and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Work with territory managers, customer service, design, production, and estimating to improve margins.
- Develop and follow through on goals and forecasts.
- Establish pricing and facilitate sales meetings and customer functions.
- Support and implement price changes.
- Identify and train territory managers.
- Participate in the management team to set goals and make decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum BSBA (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) required.
- 5+ years of proven sales management experience with a record of overall sales growth.
- Strong business acumen and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual with technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of Office 365, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and use hands to demonstrate corrugated products.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands
- Ability to progressively lift up to 50 pounds between pallet height and 36 inches.
