Responsibilities
- Supervise food service operations
- Ensure policies and procedures for the food services, sanitation standards and maintenance and safety of equipment
- Monitor meals for quality, resident acceptance, plate presentation and special dietary needs
- Oversee the environmental assistants equaling about 20 direct reports
Requirements
- One year of experience in a long-term care facility dietary department with 2 years of experience in food service management
- Associate’s degree in hospitality or Foodservice Management
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Certified Executive Chef
- Servsafe certification or Certified Food Protection Manager in MN required within 1 year of hire
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 4 months of hire
- Strong leadership and team management skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of food service operations and regulations

Pay
Hourly position - 1.0 FTE = 80 hours bi-weekly
Schedule
Hours typically between Monday-Friday days with willingness to work outside standard hours as business needs permit
