About the role

Helio Outdoors is a branded consumer products company serving the needs of millions of consumers for swim sports and pool-related products through mass merchants, e-commerce, and distributors worldwide. We are seeking a forward-thinking demand and supply planning professional to take charge of a business-critical, complex responsibility using our proprietary AI planning software. This is an on-site position based in Stoughton, MA or Denver, CO.

The role is part of the Operations unit and partners internally with Finance, Sales, New Product Development (NPD), IT, and Asia Sourcing organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of demand and supply planners to deliver demand and procurement plans for assigned customers/brands.
  • Develop and execute advanced demand and supply planning standard methodologies, set tactical goals, and drive follow-through on major landmarks.
  • Act as the voice of the team in cross-functional discussions within and outside U.S. responsibilities.
  • Support a culture of exception management by proactively identifying major issues and opportunities around demand and supply.
  • Drive a culture of excellence in analysis and execution while taking ownership of identified issues in inventory planning to deliver quantifiable solutions and positive business results.
  • Support monthly demand-supply reconciliation and reporting; participate in the S&OP process in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Create systemic processes with in-depth retail analysis skills to deliver an agnostic view of shipment potential.
  • Participate in goal setting and lead efforts in forecast accuracy, coverage reporting, and SKU rationalization.
  • Optimize inventory operations by utilizing advanced AI forecasting software to maximize turns and prevent stockouts.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in supply chain, specifically in demand, supply, and allocation planning for the recreation industry, retail, wholesale, or comparable seasonal high SKU-count CPG industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with AI-integrated planning tools that build, validate, and deploy machine learning models for demand forecasting.
  • Ability to thrive in a global, multi-cultural, and multi-country environment while building cross-functional, trusted partnerships and facilitating consensus.
  • Strong knowledge of effective supply chain performance, including customer service, supplier, and asset management.
  • Passion for crafting processes and systems improvements.
  • Skills in analysis, influencing, negotiation, communication, and navigating a sophisticated global organization.
  • Energy for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and late evenings, to accommodate global time zones (including Asia).
  • Direct experience with Amazon, e-commerce, and online marketplaces is highly preferred.
