About the role
The Manager, Deal Structuring & Valuation will support the financial analysis, modeling, and structuring of strategic deals across recorded music and music publishing. This role ensures deals are financially sound, align with strategic objectives, and contribute to long-term growth and shareholder value.
Responsibilities
- Build comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses (e.g., DCF, IRR, payback period)
- Support the structuring of deal terms and economic frameworks in collaboration with business, legal, and creative teams
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform deal assumptions and valuation benchmarks
- Prepare detailed presentations and reports for deal committee reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights for deal analysis
- Participate in post-deal reviews to understand actual performance versus initial deal thesis and identify areas for improvement in future deal structuring
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in finance, investment banking, corporate development, or a related analytical role, preferably within the music, entertainment, or media industries
- Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- MBA or CFA a plus
