Manager, Data Product Manager - Travel Core Services
About the role
The Capital One Travel team is at a pivotal moment in its growth journey, building the "brain" of its platform: a unified data ecosystem designed to power real-time, intelligent customer experiences. This role will own and execute the Data Product Strategy, specifically managing the standardization, scaling, and activation of Travel Engagement & Payments data.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product vision, design, schema standardization, and delivery for 1–2 core Travel data domains.
- Partner with engineering to deliver high-performing data pipelines and standardized data assets that power both human- and AI-enabled consumer experiences.
- Drive a customer-first platform roadmap by identifying, prioritizing, and unlocking key data consumer use cases across the enterprise.
- Support major data centralization initiatives with a risk-conscious, compliant approach that sets the platform up for long-term scale.
- Champion data quality, observability, and governance models through scalable platform tools and framework constructs.

Basic qualifications:
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following with an expectation the degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business, or Marketing.
- OR a Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 3 years of Product Management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.

Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
- McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100
- New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100
- Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
