About the Role

The Capital One Travel team is at a pivotal moment in our growth journey. We are building the "brain" of our platform: a unified data ecosystem designed to power real-time, intelligent customer experiences. Data is the ultimate fuel for scaling Capital One Travel to its full potential, and we are expanding our Data Products team to build the foundational architecture that will drive our next phase of innovation. We are looking for a driven product leader to own and execute our Data Product Strategy—specifically managing the standardization, scaling, and activation of Travel Engagement & Payments data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product vision, design, schema standardization, and delivery for 1–2 core Travel data domains.
  • Partner with engineering to deliver high-performing data pipelines and standardized data assets that power both human- and AI-enabled consumer experiences.
  • Drive a customer-first platform roadmap by identifying, prioritizing, and unlocking key data consumer use cases across the enterprise.
  • Support major data centralization initiatives with a risk-conscious, compliant approach that sets the platform up for long-term scale.
  • Champion data quality, observability, and governance models through scalable platform tools and framework constructs.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in building, scaling, or adopting enterprise data products, data pipelines, or platform architecture.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguous problem spaces, defining clear technical strategies, and rallying cross-functional stakeholders around shared outcomes.
  • A hands-on approach to platform prioritization—balancing fast, incremental value delivery for consumers while laying the technical foundation for future scale.
  • Strategic clarity on where to deep-dive, when to say "not right now," and how to navigate technical trade-offs pragmatically.
  • A principles-backed approach to decision-making that consistently identifies high-leverage opportunities and aligns teams around business impact.
  • A strong bias for action, continuous learning, and an eagerness to tackle complex technical challenges with an open, collaborative spirit.
