Manager, Data Engineering

About the role

Responsible for leading data engineering initiatives that support Valorem Reply’s Azure SI, US - Data + AI projects. This includes designing scalable data architectures, managing data pipelines, and ensuring data quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures using Azure services.
• Manage and optimize data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and processing.
• Ensure high data quality through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Continuously improve data engineering practices and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with ETL tools like Apache Airflow or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality data engineering solutions.
• Experience with big data technologies and cloud-based platforms.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts and their application to data engineering.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
