EngineeringFull-time

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This role is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist cyber expertise and creating solutions that protect the organization's systems and networks against actual and potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

About the role

We're looking for a Manager, Cyber Security Engineering, to join our Cloud and Platform Security team. In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of security, cloud infrastructure, and data—translating complex, ambiguous business and security challenges into scalable, well-architected data solutions. You'll be a force multiplier for the team: setting technical direction, managing engineers, and partnering closely with security, product, and platform stakeholders to ensure our data systems are secure, reliable, and built for scale.

A core part of this mission is using data to deliver curated, actionable security guidance and intelligent prioritization directly to application teams, empowering them to make better and more impactful security decisions faster.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
    • Define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for security engineering within the Cloud and Platform Security domain
    • Architect end-to-end data pipelines and platforms that support security telemetry, compliance reporting, and risk analytics
    • Establish engineering standards, best practices, and patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access control
    • Own key technical decisions and trade-offs, and communicate them clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders
  • Problem Synthesis & Solution Design
    • Partner with security, engineering, product, and compliance teams to deeply understand complex business and security problems
    • Break down ambiguous, multi-faceted challenges and translate them into actionable, well-scoped technical solutions
    • Drive discovery and requirements processes—asking the right questions to surface the real problem before jumping to solutions
  • Execution & Delivery
    • Lead and actively contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable data infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
    • Build platforms that handle high-volume security event data (logs, alerts, audit trails, telemetry) with reliability and low latency
    • Ensure data quality, observability, and governance are first-class concerns across all systems
  • People & Collaboration
    • Mentor and grow a team of engineers—through code reviews, design discussions, and ongoing technical coaching
    • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
    • Act as a trusted technical advisor to cross-functional partners, representing the team in architectural reviews and strategic planning discussions

Requirements

  • Experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a tech lead or people manager role
  • Proven ability to take complex, ambiguous business problems and synthesize them into clear, elegant at-scale technical solutions
  • Demonstrated experience building data products that deliver actionable insights or guidance to end users—not just pipelines for pipelines' sake
  • Deep experience building and operating large-scale platforms in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • At least 7 years' relevant experience would generally be expected for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building developer-facing security tooling or platforms that guide application teams toward better security outcomes
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management data (CVEs, CVSS, EPSS) and how to apply it in prioritization models
  • Experience in a security domain (e.g., Cloud Security, Platform Security, AppSec, or Trust & Safety engineering environment)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native services
  • Hands-on experience with data engineering at scale
  • Background working in regulated industries or with compliance-driven data requirements
