Manager, Corporate Strategy
About the Role
The Manager in Corporate Strategy plays two key roles: guiding the bank's go-forward strategy through Strategic Planning and ensuring Strategic Planning processes comply with Regulatory requirements. This role involves advising key business leaders in developing, evaluating, and aligning new strategies to support the bank's overall objectives. The Manager partners with business leaders by providing market and competitive insights, analyzing opportunities, and building alignment for new strategies.
The Manager oversees research, quantitative analysis, and modeling for strategic opportunities, delivers competitive insights, and drives business case development. Additionally, this role leads the development of the bank's annual Strategic Plan, shared with Executives, the Board, and Regulators, and supports Regulatory compliance for Strategic Planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze opportunities and develop targeted research plans for broad, loosely defined objectives.
- Develop strategic, fact-based market intelligence benchmarking to highlight customer and competitor trends, financial analysis, business practices, and macro issues addressing enterprise-wide priorities.
- Structure complex and ambiguous problems, synthesize insights, develop innovative business strategies, and make logically supported recommendations.
- Select and execute appropriate quantitative analysis techniques for the problem at hand.
- Create processes, tools, and frameworks to enable a consistent strategic planning process across the organization.
- Tailor communications in method and tone based on the intended audience and purpose to ensure effectiveness.
- Plan and lead meetings and working sessions with mid- to senior-level business leaders.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide employees with timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback.
- Develop employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance career growth.
- Develop the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- MBA or Master's degree in a business-related field preferred.
- Background in management consulting or banking with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to manage people, vendors, processes, capital, and time effectively to achieve business goals.
- Comfort in working with ambiguity; adaptability to changing daily tasks.
- Ability to be highly effective in a team-oriented environment and build relationships based on added value, not title or authority.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple, complex projects with a proven track record for results.
- Previous experience successfully introducing and implementing strategic and operational change initiatives.
- Experience operating in environments that stress both individual accountability and team-based performance.
- A sense of urgency and continual drive for results, coupled with the ability to partner effectively with senior leadership.
- Proven track record of successfully collaborating with and influencing senior leadership and peers to support growth and financial results.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills, with very strong attention to detail in written communication.

Pay
The base salary for this position reflects the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, experience, education, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for participation in an incentive compensation plan.
