Summary Of Responsibilities

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is seeking a Manager of Content Programming to serve as a strategic thought leader who will develop a scalable content programming operation. This position sits on the Content Lifecycle Team within the Fan Growth & Experience Department and is responsible for content strategy, planning, and FAST channel management to deliver strategies that drive revenue and grow fan lifetime value.

This position will sit at the intersection of product and fan engagement to ensure strategies are developed with the appropriate mix of features to connect with new fans, deepen existing fan affinity, and elevate Team USA content across the Olympic & Paralympic ecosystem.

Here’s How You’ll Have An Impact

  • Programming & Planning
    • Develop and execute a multi-platform content programming calendar that supports audience growth, engagement, and monetization across the Team USA digital ecosystem, including website, mobile app, and Team USA TV (FAST Channel).
    • Create and maintain a comprehensive content roadmap that aligns programming priorities with organizational objectives, key sporting events, athlete storytelling opportunities, and fan engagement goals.
    • Determine content distribution, access, and windowing strategies across owned channels to maximize reach, engagement, and value creation.
    • Lead programming decisions for Team USA TV, including content scheduling, thematic programming blocks, tentpole events, and seasonal content initiatives designed to increase viewership and retention.
    • Identify opportunities to expand audience reach through strategic content packaging, scheduling optimization, and platform-specific programming approaches.
    • Serve as the internal project manager, ensuring timelines, approvals, and assets are delivered on time and at a high standard.
    • Continuously improve programming operations through process optimization, documentation, and implementation of best practices.
  • FAST Channel Management
    • Own the day-to-day programming and scheduling operations for Team USA TV, ensuring an engaging and optimized viewer experience.
    • Develop and maintain channel schedules that balance audience demand, content availability, business priorities, and monetization objectives.
    • Cook up content delivery, metadata management, and programming readiness with internal stakeholders and external distribution partners.
    • Monitor channel performance and make programming adjustments to improve audience retention, watch time, and overall channel growth.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for FAST channel partners, including NBCUniversal, FAST Studios, and other distribution and operational vendors.
    • Stay informed on industry trends, audience behaviors, and emerging FAST channel best practices to continuously evolve Team USA's programming strategy.
  • Performance & Audience Insights
    • Establish a data-driven approach to programming by monitoring content and channel performance across platforms.
    • Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders on audience engagement, content effectiveness, and channel health.
    • Partner with the Insights & Analytics team to conduct audience research and performance analyses that inform content investments, programming decisions, and growth strategies.
    • Translate performance data into recommendations that improve content discovery, audience retention, and fan engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Content Strategy, Product, Brand, Commercial Strategy, and Marketing teams to ensure programming initiatives support broader organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing and Integrated Marketing teams to develop promotional strategies that drive awareness, tune-in, and engagement for Team USA TV and key content initiatives.
    • Work with rights holders, commercial partners, and third-party vendors to understand content rights, distribution opportunities, and programming constraints.
    • Facilitate alignment across internal teams to ensure programming plans are operationally feasible and strategically impactful.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, rights management, and audience preferences
  • Proficiency with media asset management systems, content management systems, and broadcast automation
  • Knowledgeable in content management, websites, mobile applications, and content publishing
  • Ability to develop a strong point-of-view based on data and present recommendations to stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Appreciation for sport and the Olympic & Paralympic Movement

Additional Information

  • Hiring pay range: $77,000 - $87,000 per year
  • This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week
  • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 15% target
  • The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion
