Job Duties
- Research and develop solutions to facility equipment operations and repairs.
- Investigate problems seeking best and economical solutions.
- Explore sources for funding through USDA and BCM for repairs and/or projects.
- Review and update group policies and procedures to reflect best available practices.
- Oversight of equipment maintenance and replacement.
- Working with staff and contractors to ensure quality of workmanship.
- Manage equipment replacement and modification from concept through design, installation and commissioning.
- Liaison between USDA, BCM, contractors, Facilities team and customers.
- Ensure Life safety and laboratory safety standards are maintained and labs and equipment are compliant.
- Maintain and repair Security hardware and software and produce monthly reports.
- Perform Energy Management System maintenance and corrections. Develop strategies for upgrades and improvements.
- Supervise facility services staff.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- BA or BS in Operations Management.
- Background and training in HVAC, Emergency Management Systems, plumbing, electrical, breathing air production, deionized water.
- Experience with laboratory and/or high-rise building safety and management.
