About the Role

The Manager of Competition Services is responsible for developing and executing all elements of Special Events and Competitions at Okemo, as well as supporting daily set up and tear down of Ski and Snowboard School operations. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the Competition Services and Mountain Operations Departments, partnering with various stakeholders to deliver results aligned with strategic operational and marketing goals.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, and manage department staff performance to meet department goals
• Manage the department's financial performance and results
• Oversee capital projects to ensure timely completion within budget
• Participate in event planning and provide coordination for marketing events and public relations requests, including nationally televised competitions
• Coordinate on-mountain events, including alpine racing, freestyle, and big mountain events
• Coordinate training activities and hill space allocations with mountain operations and ski clubs
• Execute contracts with third parties in accordance with company legal standards
• Manage safety and guest service expectations, including snowmobile use, venue set up/tear down, tool/equipment use, and event course safety
• Oversee daily set up and tear down of Ski and Snowboard School on-mountain venues

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Expert-level skier
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office/MS Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of organization, attention to detail, and professional conduct
• Self-starter with ambition and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree
• Previous experience executing events
• Experience with timing racing events, timing software, and producing competition results
• Prior resort operations experience
• Previous snowmobile operation experience
• USSA Certification

Pay

The expected pay range for this position is $51,299.00 – $95,270.00. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Full-time hours available
• Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
