About the role

The Manager of Clinical Operations is a Registered Nurse who participates in all activities related to the delivery of hospice care.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop, and support staff
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and staff education
  • Oversee reporting, documentation, budgeting, and program evaluations
  • Cookise IDG, QAPI, and Governing Body meetings
  • Maintain a safe, well-run office environment
  • Support growth strategy, staffing needs, and community outreach
  • Review performance metrics for CMS and internal standards
  • Manage volunteers and oversee onboarding
  • Ensure accurate public materials and quality patient experience

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse licensed in the state of practice
  • Two years or more of supervisory and/or administrative experience managing clinical teams
  • Five or more years of nursing experience
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must demonstrate a broad base knowledge of community health nursing and competent clinical skills
  • Must be able to be available in person or telephonically to assist with after-hours administrative on call responsibilities
  • Must be proficient in computer skills including, but not limited to, use of Word, Excel, report software such as HomeCare HomeBase, and Outlook
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership ability
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to travel (up to 25% or as needed)

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing
  • Preferred: Hospice experience
  • Preferred: Previous experience in handling new hospice referrals from first contact through admission
