About the role
The Manager, Clinical Operations oversees hospital throughput strategy and collaborates with various departments to optimize patient movement and care delivery. They may also cover shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Daily operational leadership for hospital flow, capacity management, patient progression, surge response, and after-hours administrative operations.
- Leading the Patient Placement Supervisor, Administrative Nursing Supervisors, and Patient Placement team to ensure effective coordination of hospital resources.
- Hospital Operations and Resource Coordination.
- Performance Improvement and Analytics.
- Collaboration and Relationship Management.
- Quality and Safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related healthcare field.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of clinical experience in an acute care setting, minimum two years of leadership experience, including charge nurse, supervisor, manager, or equivalent role.
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: Current Minnesota Registered Nursing License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Experience as an Administrative Nursing Supervisor, House Supervisor, Patient Placement Leader, Transfer Center Leader, or Bed Management Leader.
- Experience with hospital throughput and capacity management, including patient flow and bed board systems.
