About the Role

The Manager, Clinical Nurse Education leads the educators in organizing entity learning efforts, including rolling out system-wide learning initiatives, for staff development in defined areas of patient care services. This individual leads the education team in establishing relationships with key stakeholders, including Nursing Leadership and unit and department-based clinicians. They develop, execute, and evaluate learning initiatives in partnership with department-based clinicians, supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Additionally, they organize, communicate, and deploy annual required education and staff development programs and processes as needed. The Manager, Nursing Education also ensures the hospital meets regulatory requirements by supporting and maintaining systematic ongoing assessment of competencies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience in the area of specialty within a healthcare organization.
• Preferred 2 years of managerial experience with primary responsibility for education, including budgetary responsibility.
• Evidence of ability to draw on knowledge from clinical practice guidelines, standards, best practices, evidenced-based nursing, healthcare education evaluation, and outcome measures.
• Experience with assessing learning needs and working with groups to solve competency problems.
• Excellent platform/presentation skills.
• Ability to organize events and projects and direct others.
• Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others, lead, and motivate.
• Work flexibility, good organization, and planning skills.

Licenses & Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Registered Nurse (RN)

Pay

Estimated salary range for this position is $99,583.81 - $132,446.47 / year depending on experience.
