Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing the sterile processing areas supporting perioperative services
- Coordinating the reprocessing of and delivery of items to other areas within the health care organization
Qualifications
- Education: Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school required; Bachelors Degree preferred
- Work experience: 5 years of relevant experience which must include two (2) years of leadership experience required; or in lieu of degree, seven (7) years of experience working as a Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech, with 2 of those in a leadership capacity, will be considered
- Experience with process flow, plant/manufacturing operations, assembly line, and/or sterile processing department preferred
- Licenses and Certifications: Central Service Processing Certification preferred; Certified Operating Room Technician Certification in Sterile Processing Management preferred
