MANAGER, CENTRAL INTAKE

Overview

The Manager of Central Intake will oversee all intake functions for Memorial Home Medical Supply customers, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure all payer requirements are met for claim submission, and providing administrative oversight for retail functions.

Responsibilities

• Embodies Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Quality, Integrity, and Stewardship.
• Manage day-to-day operations of Central Intake and Retail service line.
• Prioritize work based on colleague availability.
• Coordinate with Director to develop and review department policies and procedures meeting Joint Commission and CMS Supplier Standards for durable medical equipment.
• Implements, manages, and monitors Operations Quality Initiatives, collaborating with Memorial Health System Safety and Quality designee and Risk Management.
• Assumes accountability for interviewing, selecting, and retaining colleagues.
• Conducts department meetings and huddles to facilitate communication, review, and assess to set goals addressing department issues.
• Maintains minutes of meetings and is accountable for colleague performance feedback, monitoring, and appraisals.
• Initiates formal accountability plans and actions per Memorial Health Policy.
• Participates in and supports orientation and cross-training for colleagues.
• Develops the annual budget for areas of responsibility and monitors performance throughout the year.
• Works closely with internal and external departments to ensure coordination of services.
• Advances health system goals with Director and other managers.
• Promotes colleague growth and satisfaction.
• Promotes customer satisfaction and assists Director in developing improvement plans as needed.
• Works to improve workflow processes.
• Assists with reviewing medical documentation to support the need for requested equipment and supplies to meet payer requirements.
• Provides Administrator On-Call support for Memorial Health Medical Supply on a rotating basis.
