About the role

This position manages assigned staff, focusing on hiring, training, supervision, staffing, performance evaluations, and performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Hiring and training staff
• Supervising and staffing departments
• Conducting performance evaluations
• Improving department and hospital performance
• Providing case management services, including assessment, reassessment, care coordination, and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Age of patients served: All age groups
• Required education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• Necessary skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong PC skills, supervisory experience, focus on customer service
• Required licenses/certifications: Licensed to practice nursing in Florida for nurses, clinical social worker licensure in Florida within 6 months for social workers, professional certification within two years of hire for other candidates
• Experience: 1-2 years of supervisory experience, 3-5 years of utilization management, case management, and/or discharge planning experience, experience in a hospital setting
• Preferred experience: Experience working in an academic medical center

Supervision

Supervisory responsibility of 20-30 employees.
