Manager-Case Management RN

Job Responsibilities

• Affords support to the Director in creating a culture of optimism centered on patient advocacy, patient-centered care, and prudent resource utilization.
• Assumes responsibility for operational management, including hiring, training, supervising, counseling, mentoring, and evaluating all employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manages the financial aspects of the department, including budgeting, variance analysis, and resource management.
• Establishes and communicates departmental goals with specific accountability and time frames, aligning with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
• Communicates and implements policies that uphold patients' rights to considerate care, protect their dignity, and respect their cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values.

Experience

• Minimum Requirement: RN with 5 years of clinical experience in acute care nursing and 2 years of case management experience.
• Possess one year of management experience.

Education

• Minimum Required: BSN.
• Possess a BSN or MSN preferred.

Training

• No formal training required.
• Preferred: Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Certified Acute Care Manager (ACM).

Special Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of governmental regulations.

Licenses

• Minimum Requirement: RN license.
• Possess a CCM or ACM certification preferred.

Functional Demands

• Sedentary: Lifts up to 10 lbs. overhead, carries up to 15 lbs., pushes/pulls up to 20 lbs.
• Light: Lifts and carries up to 25-35 lbs., pushes/pulls up to 50-100 lbs.
• Moderate: Lifts and carries up to 40-50 lbs., pushes/pulls up to 80 lbs. a distance of 30 feet.
• Heavy: Lifts over 50 lbs., carries up to 80 lbs. a distance of 30 feet, pushes/pulls up to 200 lbs., performs lateral transfers or max assist sit-to-stand transfers.
