Manager, Cardiology, Cardiac Quality & Data Registries, Full Time Days, 8a - 4p, Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Center

About the role

At Atlantic Health, our Quality & Performance Improvement Lead/Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and implementing initiatives that align with our strategic priorities and national benchmarks. This position involves monitoring and reporting measures, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting regulatory and accreditation surveys.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report measures, registry outcomes, and KPIs
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices
• Support readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, and state agency surveys
• Oversee submission and validation of clinical registry data (e.g., NCDR CathPCI, EP, STS)
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in compliance with registry standards
• Establish data auditing processes and corrective action plans as needed
• Serve as the subject matter expert for registry definitions, abstraction, and reporting
• Supervise registry abstractors and quality staff as applicable
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making
• Partner with IT, informatics, and clinical leadership to enhance data systems and workflows
• Support program certifications (e.g., Cath Lab Certification, Heart Failure, TAVR)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field required
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse highly preferred
• Master’s degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare quality, data abstraction, or registry management
• Experience with cardiovascular or specialty registries strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA cycles)

Data Registry Management

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Develop dashboards and reports for leadership, medical staff, and quality committees
• Translate data into actionable insights to improve patient outcomes, reduce variation, and optimize care delivery

Leadership & Program Development

• Supervise registry abstractors and quality staff as applicable
• Partner with IT, informatics, and clinical leadership to enhance data systems and workflows
• Support program certifications (e.g., Cath Lab Certification, Heart Failure, TAVR)
