Manager Business Management 2
About the role
The Manager Business Management 2 role supports a large operating unit in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing new business pursuits, business acquisition processes, compliance, funding analysis, financial analysis, earned value management analysis, internal audits, and business case scenarios. The role also involves working with the Program Office to ensure accurate, time-sensitive reporting and briefings to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support proposal preparation, fact-finding, and contract negotiations on major capture efforts to represent business management issues as necessary
- Collaborate with Business and Integrated Product Teams on assigned responsibilities, including internal and external customer interactions, EVMS implementation and analysis, or CAM duties as required; provide support and guidance to Program Managers and CAMs; input and knowledge of contracts; analyze and review Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and variance analysis; research and report on cost variances
- Ensure the team fully understands their roles and impact on financial results
- Act as the primary point of contact with the Program Manager counterpart and maintain a positive working relationship to improve communication and address potential cost issues
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 7 years finance/business management work experience, or a master's degree from an accredited university and 3 years finance/business management work experience, or a PhD from an accredited university and 3 years finance/business management work experience
- Experience in Government Contracting
- Experience developing and presenting business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to leadership teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Qualifications
- Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Skills
- Experience working major capture efforts
- Experience leading a team, either as a lead, functional manager, or matrix manager
- Experience interfacing with government audit agencies such as DCMA and DCAA, as well as Internal Audit

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $133,100.00 - $199,700.00. Base salary offers are determined based on a variety of factors including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may also be offered.
Schedule
This is an onsite position located in Palmdale, CA or Rancho Barnardo, CA.
